This position is for a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies in a Level II Trauma Center. The technician will work a 5x8-hour day shift schedule, with one to two rotating weekend shifts per month, and will be on-call twice monthly. The role requires at least two years of experience and proficiency in various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities:
- Decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Sterilization of instruments and supplies using appropriate methods.
- Assembly and wrapping of instrument trays and sets.
- Case cart preparation and management.
- High-level disinfection (HLD) procedures.
- Maintaining inventory and supply levels.
- Scrub duties as needed.
- Working across various surgical specialties (Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiarty, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, Implants).
- On-call duties twice per month, rotating weekends.
- Adhering to infection control protocols.
- Documentation of procedures and processes.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
- CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification.
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and trauma settings.
- Experience with sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrapping, case cart management, and HLD.
- Experience in a variety of surgical specialties (Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiarty, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, Implants).
- Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience.
- Experience with surgical case preparation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with ophthalmology cases.
- Experience utilizing SPM (Surgical Process Management).
- Experience using Epic electronic health record system.
