Job Description

We are looking for a Small Engine Mechanic.

Small Engine Service Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and scheduled maintenance of commercial and consumer products such as lawnmowers, Toro Siteworks equipment, compact tractors, and 2 cycle equipment, The ideal candidate should have the expertise and experience to use appropriate tools to successfully service most of these products.

• Ability to diagnose equipment utilizing diagnostic software and/or online technical manuals.
• Perform component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning as part of the repair process.
• Safely operate all equipment the dealership sells and services-Resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Perform PDI’s on new equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training provided by the dealership and manufacturer.
• Communicate repairs with the service writer so updates and quotes can be relayed to the customer.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field.
• Ownership of necessary tools.
• Electronic diagnostic ability.
• Ability to perform all tasks without supervision.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to provide detail writes ups on work order communicating diagnosis and work performed.
• Ability to use a personal computer and various types of diagnostic equipment.
