This per diem Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) position requires night shift availability (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) at a 22-bed psychiatric unit in Hudson, NY. The role involves providing direct patient care, crisis management, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Experience with the EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to patients in a psychiatric setting.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assessing patients' mental and physical health status.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Managing patient crises and emergencies.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely in EPIC.
- Collaborating with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of two years of experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Travel nursing experience.
Special Considerations:
- Per diem position with zero guaranteed hours; anticipated 1-2 nights per week.
- Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- 11:1 nurse-patient ratio at night.
- Crisis management responsibilities.
- Candidates who have worked at this facility in the past year or full-time within the AMC network in the past six months are not eligible.
