Job Description

UI/UX Designer — Consumer Products

Location: Remote, Miami preferred | Full-time (Contract to hire)

Aldea is building the future of intelligent, emotionally-aware, voice-based AI advisors — tools that feel more like trusted guides than generic assistants. We’re on a mission to bring the best expert guidance in the world to people navigating real-life challenges — whether that’s parenting, relationships, health, or personal growth. Our consumer products are voice-first, AI-native, and designed to meet people where they are.

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer with 0→1 consumer product experience and a sharp eye for interactive, emotionally resonant design. You’ll lead the design of our first consumer-facing experiences — intuitive, beautiful interfaces that help people engage seamlessly with AI-driven voice companions. Think Snap, Instagram, or Headspace levels of polish — but purpose-built for a voice-first future.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end design of our consumer AI products — from concept through wireframes to polished UI and shipped features
  • Design visual systems that complement voice-based interactions, helping users orient, understand, and engage effortlessly
  • Craft onboarding, feedback loops, and interaction flows that feel alive — not static — inspired by the best of social and immersive product design
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and voice AI teams to shape experiences where AI is not just a backend, but an interactive personality
  • Prototype rapidly and iterate with real feedback to validate ideas early and avoid overdesign
  • Build scalable component systems in Figma that support growth while preserving visual and functional consistency
  • Help define our design principles for AI-native interaction — with clarity, agency, and trust at the core

In addition to product work, you will be part of a cross-functional product and growth team. We are looking for a "full stack" designer that can flex across marketing and growth, visual design, brand, and more.

Requirements

You Might Be a Fit If You:

  • Are a full-stack designer — fluent in UX, strong in visual design, with brand sensibility
  • Have built and shipped a 0→1 consumer product — ideally in social tech, wellness, or coaching
  • Have experience designing for highly interactive platforms like Snap, Instagram, Headspace, or comparable apps with dynamic user feedback
  • Are excited about designing voice-first experiences — and how UI/UX can support, not compete with, the voice layer
  • Think in systems, not just screens — building robust, reusable design frameworks instead of one-off flows
  • Know how to prototype quickly — using tools like Figma, Framer, or Principle to validate hypotheses and share concepts
  • Have a collaborative mindset — you partner closely with engineering and AI teams to bring ideas to life
  • Possess deep user empathy, especially around emotionally sensitive moments and behavior-driven design
  • Understand how to create interfaces that teach without tutorials, using affordances, micro-interactions, and intuitive structure
  • Are comfortable in a scrappy, fast-moving environment, and can prioritize signal over noise without sacrificing craft

Bonus Points

  • Experience with AI-native or conversational interfaces
  • Familiarity with motion design, advanced prototyping tools, and building scalable Figma component libraries
  • A strong POV on how AI can enhance — not overwhelm — the user experience
  • Passion for personal development, wellness, or coaching ecosystems

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits
We are a well-funded, Seed-stage company preparing for launch. We offer:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus based on achieving goals
  • Equity participation
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and paid time off
  • Flexible work environment—based in Miami, hybrid OK. Remote considered.
  • Option to start on a contract basis with potential for full-time hire
