Partnered with a hospital in northern Illinois that has an opening for an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join their team.

Position Overview:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
1:8 general orthopedic call rotation
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Patient Census: 30-35 per day
Cases: Hand surgery
Team Structure: 7 surgeons currently
Must be board-certified
Must be a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive experience in acute and emergency care
A compassionate, patient-focused approach is essential for providing top-notch call coverage
Familiarity and a willingness to adapt to diverse clinical settings
Proven ability to manage busy, 24-hour shifts while remaining calm and efficient
Excellent communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration with local healthcare teams
A strong commitment to community health in the beautiful Northeastern Illinois region
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO ENT Illinois state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as an ENT
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
