Position: Passionate Butcher

As an apprentice in our meat department, you'll learn the finesse of cutting meat products while developing essential skills to master the art of butchery and the presentation of gourmet meats. You will learn on the job and have opportunity to grow yourself in the company.

What You'll Learn:

• Art of Meat Preparation: Master specialty cuts of a variety of meats, domestic and wild game.
• Precision with Tools: Safely and effectively handle butchery tools and machinery, while developing your proficiency.
• Cuts and Recommendations: Develop extensive knowledge of meat products and cuts, allowing you to recommend selections and educate customers.
• Sanitation Mastery: Understand and practice cleanliness and sanitation standards to uphold health and safety regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure our products maintain our high standards.
• Strength and Agility: Enhance your physical strength and dexterity as you handle items weighing upwards of 50 lbs.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to effective teamwork, ensuring the meat department operates seamlessly so everyone enjoys the day.
• Customer Engagement: Provide excellent customer service by answering queries, assisting with selections, and sharing product insights.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Formal apprenticeship or certification in meat cutting/butchery is a plus but will train from scratch.
• Physical Stamina: Adapt to physical demands, including lifting heavy items 50 plus lbs and standing for extended periods6-9 hours.
• Flexible Commitment: Embrace flexible hours, every other weekend off , and rotating holidays off.

Shift and Benefits:

• Apprentice will be a Full Time Position
• $2/hr weekend Per Diem, rotate weekends, based on Seasonal needs
